Victoria Olivarez is a lecturer in the Communication Department at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV), where she teaches courses in human communication, public speaking, and interpersonal communication. She holds a Master of Arts in Communication Studies and is a Certified Trainer and Consultant, bringing expertise in communication, leadership development, and audience engagement.
With more than 15 years of experience in Catholic youth ministry, Victoria has dedicated her career to helping young people encounter Christ through meaningful formation, effective communication, and creative evangelization. She currently serves as a volunteer with the Diocese of Brownsville, supporting diocesan communications initiatives and youth ministry efforts.
Combining her academic background with extensive ministry experience, Victoria is passionate about helping parishes, ministries, and Church leaders communicate the Gospel through social media evangelization with clarity, creativity, and purpose. Inspired by Saint Carlo Acutis, her workshops focus on practical strategies that empower Catholic communicators to build authentic connections, strengthen parish identity, and foster meaningful encounters with Christ online and beyond.
