With the Apostolic Letter Aperuit Illis, Pope Francis instituted the Third Sunday in Ordinary Time as the Sunday of the Word of God. This year marks the the sixth and will be celebrated in St Peter’s Basilica in the presence of Pope Francis on Sunday 26 January 2025, as an integral part of the Jubilee Year.The motto chosen is taken from the book of the Psalms: “I hope in your Word” (Ps 119:74).
